Our department's undergraduate program was founded in 1959. Our first students graduated in 1964. Up until now, we have maintained our undergraduate program uninterrupted. Our undergraduate program was accredited until 2021 by the Turkish Psychological Association. Our graduate programs were founded in 1982. In the 2018-2019 year of study, our department offered both M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in the subareas of social, clinical, developmental, industrial and organizational, and traffic and transportation psychology. We mind that both our undergraduate and graduate students develop their theoretical foundations, be competent in topics of method and measurement, and engage as active psychologists in the applied areas with the help of various programs. Our department, which has seventeen faculties, most of who received prestigious rewards from national institutes like TÜBİTAK, TÜBA, and YÖK, and many other international institutes, experiences the pride of being a pioneer within the psychology departments of Turkey. At the same time, we aim to give unique contributions to the field with our international projects.
